I read this book as part of the "Small Town Girls" bundle on KU. Again this is an older story, lacking in modern technology. Also it was quite funny to read about the morals of the day. The H doesn't want to sleep with the h in the old lady's house because it showed lack of respect. The old lady in question was in hospital at the time. Lol. It's one of those stories where there are lots of misunderstandings between the main character. This one had all the elements of a good story but failed to live up to the promise. The H is a successful thriller writer and comes to the h's town to give a course at the university where the h works as a professor. The sparks fly from the beginning. In the background the h lives with a lovely old lady in a beautiful old mansion. The old lady's only daughter went missing about 35 yrs before and she's never given up on finding her. The H becomes interested in the story when the h tells him about it. Perhaps there's another novel there? I wouldn't pay for this book but it was ok reading it as part of the bundle on KU.Product details
